Colleagues,
We would like to invite you to a Contract Faculty Information and Appreciation Session on Wednesday, April 24th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm in B14 of the Black Walnut Building at the Welland Campus. This session is being put on by OPSEU head office and the CAAT-A division with Local 242 being the hosts.
Issues that will be discussed include where the drive to unionize part-time and sessional faculty currently stands, how the repeal of Bill 148 is affecting contract faculty, job security, and the partial-load registry. Also, bring any questions that you may have.
We are inviting all partial-load, part-time, and sessional faculty, as well as full-time faculty, who are important allies in support of contract workers. Pizza and refreshments will be served. If you know of any part-time or sessional colleagues that are not receiving this invitation, please inform them of this event.
